Women's Information and Self Help Centre - Supports and assists you if you have had experience of or are experiencing domestic abuse.  The WISH Centre is the public face of Blackburn Women's Aid and is open to anyone who feels they may benefit from our services.  Click here for more information.

Refuge

Floating Support

For those who are independent of their abusive relationship.  We offer families support to rebuild their lives and we help you to live free from abuse.  Click here for more information.

Young People's Services

We offer direct support for young people who have experienced domestic abuse, both in one to one and group work using the Changing Places Programme. Click here

 

IDVA & ISVA (Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advisor)
The purpose of this service is to create a multi agency forum to protect high risk victims/survivors of abuse and their families.  The IDVA works closely with partner agencies in particular the Lancashire Constabulary Public Protection Unit, Crown Prosecution Service and Lancashire Probation. Counselling Service

Our Counselling Service provides you with one-to-one support in a non-judgmental, emotionally supportive way and is a very valuable process for women who have suffered the effects of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence. Click here for more information.

Ethnic Minority Support

We provide culturally sensitive advice and information to those who experience or have experienced Domestic Abuse from their partner or a familiy member.  We explore choices and options around safety planning to protect women and children.  Support can be provided in Urdu and Gujarati.  The service is available throughout Blackburn and Darwen.  Click here for more information.

 

 

The Freedom Programme

A 12 week group programme to raise awareness and understanding of domestic abuse issues, the effects on children and warning signs of a potentially abusive relationship. Click here for more information.
